Christina is a Licensed Master Social Worker with over ten years of experience in the social work field, supporting children and their families while serving a diverse population. Christina believes each one of us has what we need within us to heal; sometimes we just need help from a professional to reach and support the wounded parts of ourselves that are hidden deep under our protective parts. Her approach to treatment includes trauma-informed, client-centered, strengths-based, and attachment theory-based practices.

Christina received her undergraduate degree from Wilmington University in Criminal Justice in 2008. She served as the victim advocate with Cecil County Child Advocacy Center for nine years. During this time, Christina worked with survivors of childhood sexual trauma and their families, helping them navigate the difficulties faced in the aftermath of a disclosure and the beginning of the healing process. While later pursuing her Master of Social Work from Salisbury University, Christina completed her clinical internship with The Bridge. While serving as a therapeutic intern, Christina worked with survivors of intimate partner violence and sexual assault. Christina became a licensed social worker in 2022, and later completed her Level 1 Advanced Trauma Treatment Certificate program through the Ferentz Institute in 2023.

As a clinical social worker, Christina is passionate about people’s experiences with traumatic events, PTSD, domestic violence/abuse, anxiety, and depression. She incorporates various forms of therapy into her work with clients, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Internal Family Systems, Family Systems, Attachment-Based Therapy, and Polyvagal Theory.

As a clinical social worker, Christina is passionate about people’s experiences with traumatic events, PTSD, domestic violence/abuse, anxiety, and depression. She incorporates various Christina seeks to validate and encourage clients in their healing journey. She looks forward to providing a safe, judgment-free space in which you can explore areas of life that are currently a struggle and gain insight to grow through the challenges.
