Erin Rey
Practice Manager
Changing Tides Practice Manager Erin Rey has been a valued and trusted member of the Changing Tides team for nearly two years, serving as one of the primary points of contact for clients as they begin their therapeutic journey. In her role, Erin supports individuals and families with scheduling, billing inquiries, insurance coordination, and provider matching, helping clients navigate what can often feel like an overwhelming first step in seeking support. She is deeply committed to ensuring that each person who reaches out to the practice feels heard, welcomed, and cared for from their very first interaction. Erin works collaboratively with both clients and clinicians to thoughtfully connect individuals with the provider best suited to their unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.
Prior to joining Changing Tides, Erin spent a decade working as a teacher within the county's school system. Her years in education strengthened her ability to build meaningful relationships, communicate effectively with individuals and families, and create environments where people feel safe, supported, and understood. Working closely with students from a variety of backgrounds also deepened her awareness of the impact that emotional wellbeing, family dynamics, stress, and life transitions can have on overall functioning and success.
Erin is widely known for her calm presence, patience, warmth, and approachable nature. She takes pride in helping clients feel comfortable throughout every stage of the intake and onboarding process and understands the courage it can take to reach out for help. Whether assisting someone with finding the right therapist, answering questions about services, or offering reassurance during the scheduling process, Erin strives to make accessing care feel as smooth, supportive, and stress-free as possible. Her dedication to client care and her genuine compassion make her an integral part of the Changing Tides team.
Earlier in her professional career, Erin worked at Upper Bay Counseling & Support Services within the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) shortly after graduating from college. As a counselor in this setting, she supported clients experiencing significant emotional and behavioral health challenges by helping facilitate psychoeducational groups, teaching coping and emotional regulation skills, and encouraging healthy communication and personal growth. Her experience in the mental health field provided a strong foundation in understanding the importance of empathy, consistency, and compassionate support during vulnerable periods in people’s lives.
