Lia is a Licensed Master Social Worker with a rich and varied professional background that spans neuropsychology, military service, healthcare, and education. She earned her Master of Social Work in Clinical Social Work from the University of Maryland, which provided her with a strong foundation in therapeutic techniques and clinical practice. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Fordham University, where she developed a deep understanding of human behavior and mental health.

​Lia's approach to therapy is relational, emotionally focused, and trauma-informed. She believes that the therapeutic relationship is a vital component of healing—creating a safe, affirming environment where clients feel seen, heard, and understood. Her goal is to foster self-trust, self-compassion, emotional processing, and personal growth through compassionate and collaborative work.
She is open to working with clients of all ages and backgrounds, but has a particular affinity for supporting young adults, couples, veterans, and first responders. Her clinical interests include exploring and enhancing relationships, attachment styles, shame resilience, anxiety management, navigating career stress, life transitions, and identity development. She understands that each individual's journey is unique, and she tailors her approach to meet her clients' specific needs and goals.
Lia is passionate about creating a space where clients feel empowered to explore their inner worlds and develop healthy coping strategies. She is excited to be joining Changing Tides and feels privileged to walk alongside her clients as they work toward greater self-awareness, resilience, and well-being.
