Nikki Frederick
LMSW
Nikki is a Licensed Master Social Worker with experience in psychotherapy, mediation, and case management. She has worked with adults in outpatient mental health and community-based settings, including delivering therapy to veterans and supporting them through mental health management and life transitions.
Nikki's background includes ten years of experience at a local hospital, at which she had a role in acute care, and internships at the Cecil County Community Mediation Center and Perry Point VA Medical Center. At the Mediation Center, Nikki served as a mediator, working with families and other clients, both in-office and in court, and co-developed a conflict resolution program implemented in local schools. During her outpatient therapy internship at the VA, she provided therapeutic services to veterans dealing with mental health and addiction issues. Nikki has also volunteered with Voices
of Hope and is passionate about community outreach.
Before earning her social work license, Nikki worked as a case manager, helping individuals access community resources, employment assistance, and support for various needs. This assisted in the development of Nikki’s person-centered, integrative therapeutic style that combines evidence-based practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Her approach to therapy focuses on helping clients explore their experiences, build emotional resilience, and develop meaningful coping strategies in a collaborative, supportive environment. Nikki's diverse background underscores her commitment to empowering individuals and fostering healing in both clinical and community settings.
